Georgian recipients received ₾930.6 million ($355.5 mln) in remittances from abroad in June, marking a 16.8% decrease year-on-year, the latest data from the National Bank of Georgia shows.
Russia ($129.31 million), Italy ($42.93 million) and the United States ($38.73 million) were the countries with the largest remittance senders.
Overall, the vast majority of all money transfers from abroad - 97.2 percent - came from 26 countries.
In the same month, ₾76.2 million ($29.1 mln) was transferred from Georgia to recipients abroad - a 2.2 percent decrease from the June 2022 figure of $29.8 million.
