The Georgian U21 national football team player Zuriko Davitashvili on Saturday said Georgia could defeat Israel in the quarter-finals match of the UEFA 2023 Under 21 European Championship and “write a new page” in the history of Georgian football by advancing to the semifinals and getting a chance to participate in the Olympics.
Davitashvili told the Public Broadcaster that despite the “very emotional” match against the Netherlands on Tuesday, where the Georgian team had ended in a draw with the Netherlands and advanced to the quarter-final stage, the national team had to focus on today’s game against Israel, adding “Israel is a very good team”.
