Peter Fischer, the German Ambassador to Georgia on Saturday said the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had affirmed his "continued support" for Georgia’s path to the European Union.
In his tweet, Fischer responded to Scholz’s meeting with the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Friday in Berlin and highlighted the importance of “swift and determined” reforms from Georgia in the coming weeks.

Fischer noted the German Chancellor had also expressed the country’s “unwavering support” for Georgia’s sovereignty within its internationally recognised borders, amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
