Georgia’s progress on the fulfilment of the European Union conditions for granting the country the membership candidate status and the Parliament’s role in their implementation were discussed on Saturday by Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Thomas Gomart, the Director of the French Institute of International Relations.
Papuashvili emphasised Georgia’s aspiration to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and noted that the country’s contribution to ensuring security and stability in the region was “immeasurable”, the Parliament press office said.
