Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Friday said member states of the European Union had vowed their support for Georgia on its European integration path.

In her remarks over the Georgian Prime Minister’s participation in the European Political Community Summit in Chișinău this week, Botchorishvili said Garibashvili's visit to Moldova was a “good opportunity” to communicate at the highest level and to exchange ideas with European leaders.

In general, it should be said that the political will on the part of Georgia has been stated at all levels. Of course, this communication at the highest level that took place is important, and it was a good opportunity for the Prime Minister to be in Moldova, in this format, where he had an exchange of views with the [European] leaders”, Botchorishvili said.

“We have heard the statements that are made regarding Georgia and the readiness of EU member states to support Georgia on its path to EU integration”, the Parliament official concluded.
