The National Archives of Georgia on Friday presented a new book, “Georgian Manuscripts and Historical Documents", combining manuscripts and historical documents preserved in archival funds.

The publication includes illustrations and decorations of manuscripts and historical documents of the 9th-19th centuries, wills, autographs and lists included in the UNESCO World Memory Register, as well as recently discovered palimpsests and seals.

The book, compiled by Ketevan Asatiani and edited by Natia Dundua, Dali Chitunashvili and Manana Chumburidze, is available for sale at the National Archives store, the archive said.

The National Archives preserves about 1,000 manuscripts and more than 15,000 historical documents.
