The Georgian Government Administration, as well as the country’s Parliament, on Saturday joined the global environmental campaign Earth Hour.
As part of the worldwide event, the lights in the Government Administration were switched off from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the Administration said.

The electricity on the facade of the Parliament building was also turned off for one hour as part of the global action, the Parliament press office said.
Since 2007, Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organised annually by the World Wildlife Fund on the last Saturday of March, encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses from around the globe to turn off non-essential electric lights for one hour, as a symbol of commitment to the planet and to raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it.
