Georgian Infrastructure Minister, UAE Trade Minister discuss infrastructure projects

Ongoing and planned infrastructure projects in Georgia were discussed on Friday between the Georgian Infrastructure Minister Irakli Karseladze and Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, the Georgian Ministry announced.

Karseladze provided information on projects in road development, water supply, non-hazardous waste management, as well as infrastructure for educational and municipal institutions to the visiting official.

The Minister highlighted the importance of the Middle Corridor - a trade route connecting the Central Asian region, the Caspian Sea and the South Caucasus - and opportunities arising from its development.

He also pointed to the new “large-scale” programmes for the rehabilitation and construction of schools and kindergartens across regions of the country, initiated by the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
