Not only members of "anarchist, destructive movement", but also "enthusiastic students" stood at transparency bill rallies - PM

In his interview with Imedi TV, the head of the Government stressed the bill had been “misinterpreted” as a “Russian law” by the “radical wing” of the domestic opposition, with the  statements having been made by the country’s “foreign partners, colleagues and Ambassadors” had “further encouraged the [negative] approach and controversies” to the legislative piece, and “confused” the part of the public. The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on Sunday not only members of "anarchist, destructive movement", but also "enthusiastic students" stood at transparency bill rallies outside the Parliament in central Tbilisi on Tuesday and Wednesday, adding they were “not so aggressive”, they protested “calmly” and supported the idea of Europe.

He stressed that  these people, “our fellow citizens, our children, our sisters and brothers”, should not be “willingly or unwillingly” involved in the “big conspiracy”.

Garibashvili also addressed the parents of “children and other citizens” who participated in the rally against the controversial bill, emphasising there was a “very difficult situation” in the whole world.

I wish to address our society and youth, their parents, our brothers and sisters – everyone. What is the society we wish to build? What is the country we wish to build? We say that we crave to build a genuinely European society and we aspire towards this. We wish to have peace and stability. We wish to unify and solidify our country. We wish to charge our economy”, the PM said.
