Georgia reports 5,486 new cases of coronavirus, weekly positivity rate stands at 9.63%

Georgia has reported 5,486 new cases of coronavirus, 2,893 recoveries and 46 deaths in the past 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate for tested individuals stands at 9.63%.

A total of 57,546 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 39,284 of the 57,546 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18,262 were PCR tests.

2,985 of 5,486 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Tbilisi, while the remaining cases were recorded in:

  • Adjara – 569 cases
  • Imereti – 563 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli – 205 cases
  • Shida Kartli – 282 cases
  • Guria – 145 cases
  • Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 290 cases
  • Kakheti – 192 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 131 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti – 84 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 40 cases
