Georgian Minister of Finance discussed prospects of future cooperation with counterpart from Kingdom of Netherlands

Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili met with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Minister of Finance Sigrid Kaag in an online format on Saturday, to discuss possible economic development trends and prospects of future cooperation.

Also, the conversation focused on the impact of the Russian invasion in Ukraine on the world and the region in particular, mainly in trade and economics. 

The Minister of Finance also discussed with his counterpart the importance of Georgia's application for EU membership and future reforms to be taken in this direction.

Khutshishvili thanked Sigrid Kaag for unwavering  support of  the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia, especially at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, where Georgia is represented by Dutch CEOs.

The ministers agreed on active cooperation, considering  the developments in the region, to identify additional needs for support.
