A total of 693,400 Georgian resident travellers took a trip abroad in the third quarter of 2022, with most of the travels made to Türkiye (314,500) and Russia (79,400), the latest data from the national statistics office of Georgia shows.
The number is 3.9 percent higher compared to the same period of 2021, the body said.

Georgian residents spent ₾539.4 million (about $197.96) while travelling abroad in Q3, with average expenditure of ₾1,014.1 (about $372). They spent the highest amount of the money, ₾231 million, on shopping.

In Q1, the average number of nights spent during the outbound visits was 6.3, and 95.7 percent of outbound trips were repeat visits.
The majority of outbound visits (48.9 percent) were made by visitors aged between 31-50, and visits made by women made up 48.7 percent of the total number.
