Turkish-German carrier SunExpress will enter the Georgian airline market starting in June 2023, the United Airports of Georgia said on Thursday.
Tamar Archuadze, director general of the United Airports, said starting June 3, SunExpress would offer flights between Tbilisi and Izmir, while flights from Ankara and Antalya would start on June 5 and 15.
The airline will offer flights between the Georgian capital and the three cities of Türkiye five times a week.
Georgian deputy economy minister Mariam Kvrivishvili said the state body would continue talks with “leading airlines” to bring more of them into the domestic airline market.
