Irakli Kobakhidze, the chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Thursday highlighted the resilience in Georgia enjoying “peace and double-digit economic growth” on the backdrop of widespread effects of the war in Ukraine and economic crisis in the wider region.
In comments criticising the domestic opposition, Kobakhidze told Imedi TV the public could see which political force was a “guarantor of peace” and who, in contrast, “opposes this important benefit” for the country.
There is no country left around us that has not been affected in some way by either war or economic crisis - at such a time we have peace and double-digit economic growth. This is today's situation and the public appreciates it”, the GD official said in an interview with the channel.
