Georgia’s national policy and strategy for open science, and prospects of the country’s involvement in the European open science cloud are being discussed in the Open Science Forum, an international event hosted in the country for the first time between Wednesday and Friday.

The programme involves a conference featuring representatives of the Georgian education ministry, European Commission, European Open Science Cloud association, higher educational and scientific-research institutions and the national office of Horizon Europe.

On the closing day, the digital humanities centre of central Georgia’s Gori State University will sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Institute of Empirical Linguistics of the Goethe University of Frankfurt, agreeing to set up joint scientific and educational projects within the partnership.
