Georgian FM, UAE minister of state discuss cooperation

Growing dynamics of bilateral relations between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates was discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between the Georgian foreign minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, the minister of state of the United Arab Emirates.

The officials emphasised the importance of developing “specific steps” that would further deepen the existing cooperation between the two countries, the Georgian foreign office said.

 

The meeting also reviewed mechanisms for “effective implementation” of agreements reached on Monday at a meeting between the Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates.

At their meeting in Abu Dhabi, Garibashvili and Mohamed discussed cooperation between the countries and prospects of boosting trade ties and investment.
