Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili on Sunday expressed “deep sadness” following the death of Lasha Gogiashvili, the mayor of western Georgia’s Terjola town.
Garibashvili extended his condolences and support to Gogiashvili’s family and relatives.
Our team, Terjola and our entire society lost a young, patriotic state figure of his country”, Garibashvili said in his statement.
Gogiashvili died in a traffic accident late at night on Saturday.
