Allied Maritime Command, the central command of the NATO maritime forces, held an information training for the Georgian coast guard, introducing the service about the alliance’s maritime security operations, the Georgian border police said on Wednesday.
The coast guard professionals were introduced to work of the NATO Navigation Centre and the counter-terrorism Operation Sea Guardian by the bloc’s mobile training team on the latter’s visit to Georgia.

Hosted by Ramaz Papidze, the director of the department, the visiting delegation members inspected the Joint Maritime Operation Centre.
The Georgian side in the meetings also introduced the MTT to work of the domestic coast guard and the Centre.
