Georgian prime minister Irakli Garibashvili and his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan on Saturday discussed the cooperation agenda between the two countries, on the sidelines of the United Nations general assembly in New York.
The officials highlighted the existing “dynamically” developing relations and noted it has been a “good basis” to further expand the future cooperation between Georgia and Armenia, the government administration said.

At the meeting, the parties also reviewed the current situation in the South Caucasus region, against the background of military escalation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and stressed the importance of “peaceful resolution” of the conflict.
Garibashvili expressed his “readiness” to “continue being” a mediator between the countries and “contribute” to ensuring peace and stability in the “region and beyond”.
