Western Georgia's Guria region to celebrate Tea Festival

The Musicians Park in the seaside Shekvetili town of western Georgia's Guria region, a province recognised for its long-standing tea production, will host its Tea Festival on Friday, the Georgian National Tourism Administration announced on Tuesday. 

The Festival will be organised by the GNTA and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) as part of the Tea Route project. 

The visitors of the Festival will be able to taste tea, honey, dried fruit, wine and other locally-made products. 

As part of the Festival several masterclasses will be held as well as photo exhibitions. In addition, the producer of the best tea will be revealed at the Festival who will receive a certificate and a prize.
