Georgia reports 19,098 new cases of coronavirus, weekly positivity rate stands at 30.65%

A total of 209,012 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

Georgia has reported 19,098 new cases of coronavirus, 17,531 recoveries and 38 deaths in the last 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate stands at 30.65%.

A total of 209,012 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

Overall, 52,362 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 29,383 of them were rapid antigen tests, while the remaining 22,979 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had a total of 1,313,315 Covid-19 cases since February 26, 2020. 

1,089,091 of the 1,313,315 infected individuals have recovered, while 15,212 have died from the virus.

The new 19,098 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 9,295 cases 
  • Adjara - 1,456 cases 
  • Imereti - 2,988 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 1,008 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 1,147 cases 
  • Guria - 417 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 1,233 cases 
  • Kakheti - 828 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 336 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 318 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 72 cases

5,990 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,146 of them are in intensive care units. 282 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

201,060 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

1,339,688 people in the country have received at least one dose of Covid-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,226,924 have been fully vaccinated.
