Georgia reports 19,098 new cases of coronavirus, weekly positivity rate stands at 30.65%

Georgia has reported 19,098 new cases of coronavirus, 17,531 recoveries and 38 deaths in the last 24 hours. The weekly positivity rate stands at 30.65%.
A total of 209,012 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.
Overall, 52,362 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 29,383 of them were rapid antigen tests, while the remaining 22,979 were PCR tests.
Georgia has had a total of 1,313,315 Covid-19 cases since February 26, 2020.
1,089,091 of the 1,313,315 infected individuals have recovered, while 15,212 have died from the virus.
The new 19,098 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 9,295 cases
- Adjara - 1,456 cases
- Imereti - 2,988 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 1,008 cases
- Shida Kartli - 1,147 cases
- Guria - 417 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 1,233 cases
- Kakheti - 828 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 336 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 318 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 72 cases
5,990 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,146 of them are in intensive care units. 282 patients are on artificial ventilation.
201,060 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.
1,339,688 people in the country have received at least one dose of Covid-19 the vaccine so far, while 1,226,924 have been fully vaccinated.
Georgia has reported 23,134 new cases of coronavirus, 17,594 recoveries and 33 deaths in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate stands at 30.36%.
A total of 385 vaccinated people and 10,532 unvaccinated individuals died from Covid-19 in Georgia between March 15-December 31, 2021, the latest report of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reads.
The national vaccination plan will need to aim to vaccinate 70 percent of the population by the end of July if health authorities in Georgia are to stop the pandemic in the country, Head of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said on Thursday.
Individuals entering establishments in Georgia that had required green pass for access will be able to enter the venues without having to present it, Chief of Operations at the Interagency Coordination Council Giorgi Ghibradze announced earlier today.
Georgia has reported 11,235 new Covid-19 cases, 17,130 recoveries, and 34 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past 14 days stands at 27.37%. Overall 204,345 remain infected with coronavirus in Georgia.
