The Georgian national sitting volleyball team has returned home with a silver medal from the Riga Cup international tournament in Latvia.
The squad led by coaches Giorgi Kartvelishvili and Paata Ulumbelashvili scored the result at the event that concluded on Sunday.
The competition saw six sitting volleyball teams from Italy, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia take part.
A team from Georgia, consisted of service members injured during combat or peacekeeping operations, have won the Invictus Games gold medal in sitting volleyball.
Georgian warriors wounded in the Russia-Georgia war in August 2008 and other international operations are taking part in an international competition specifically for wounded servicemen and women from all over the globe.
The Georgian national volleyball team secured a major win on Tuesday by defeating the host team of Serbia 3:2 at the Women's Under-17 European Championship.
