Georgian National Bank Governor joins Three Seas Initiative conference in Poland to discuss monetary policy

Koba Gvenetadze, the Governor of the National Bank of Georgia, joined a conference involving central bankers and high-ranking representatives from states across the Baltic, Adriatic and Black seas in Poland to discuss monetary policy, economic consequences of the Ukraine war and other matters on June 10. 

The Three Seas Initiative conference, hosted by the National Bank of Poland under the patronage of the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, also reviewed the post-pandemic economic reality, the National Bank of Georgia said.

Gvenetadze was invited to the event for the first time this year, joining representatives from 12 European Union member states - Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. 

The Initiative, launched by Croatia and Poland in 2015, is tasked with strengthening physical and digital connections between the Baltic, Adriatic and Black seas.
