More than 100 Turkish entrepreneurs, potential investors and representatives of the country’s business community will visit Georgia on Friday to join the Turkey-Georgia Business Forum, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia announced on Thursday.
Initiated by the Georgian historical diaspora living in Turkey, the Forum will mark its first edition in the capital, and aim to introduce Turkish businesses about the investment environment and economic opportunities in Georgia, the Ministry said.
The state body also noted the event would look to attract investments to Georgia, and expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries with the support of the Georgian diaspora living in Turkey.
Georgian officials will introduce Forum participants to the domestic business environment, mechanisms available to the private sector and foreign investors, and reforms implemented in the country in order to further support businesses.
The Business Forum is the fourth large-scale event organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia to ensure the involvement of the Georgian diaspora in the process of economic reconstruction.
