The United States have “significantly” helped Georgia since the country gained its independence, with over $6 billion donated for development over the last three decades, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said on Friday in a discussion held at the Global Security Forum in Bratislava.
Garibashvili stressed the US had been “very generous” in supporting Georgia’s defence forces, providing weapons and training, and supporting the country on its path of Euro-Atlantic integration.
We have very good cooperation and truly strong partnership and friendship, and of course, we will continue this strategic relationship with America,” the head of the Georgian Government told the panel.
