Staff of Georgian embassies retrained in economic diplomacy

About 80 staff of Georgian missions abroad and the country’s Foreign Ministry have been retrained in economic diplomacy, Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili, said on Friday. 

The retraining is part of a project initiated by the Enterprise Georgia state campaign with the support of the European Union, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Foreign Ministry, and is aimed at promoting cooperation between the two ministries. 

During an event dedicated to economic diplomacy, the Deputy Minister also said several trainers had also been retrained to ensure the “continuity” and “sustainability” of the programme, noting it would facilitate the effectiveness of the Georgian Government’s efforts in the fields of economy and foreign affairs.
