Georgian school graduates closed out the last day of classes with the ringing of the Last Bell today, with officials of the country’s Government offering their messages of congratulation for the occasion.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili congratulated the seniors on the completion of their studies and wished them “fulfillment of goals.” He said his Government would “do everything” to give the young generation “all the opportunities” and would lead them “towards using their individual resources.”
I am confident this new stage of life will become the basis of your future success and progress. I believe that in the life of our country and society you will have a say in the spirit of youth,” Garibashvili said.
Education Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli told the students “a new stage” in their life would begin with the graduation, one “full of more opportunities, new relations and adventures.”
I am sure the desire to acquire knowledge and deepen it will never fade and with your professionalism, you will make the most important contribution to the development of our country,” Chkhenkeli noted.
The nationwide ringing of the Last Bell typically sees graduates celebrate the day by wearing plain white T-shirts on which they write good wishes to each other, while also giving each other flowers.
