A total of 2,100 hectares of agricultural land will be cultivated free of charge in the country’s Black Sea region of Adjara this year, the local Government announced on Wednesday.
The Government revealed the plan of financing the agricultural work as part of its support of local farmers, adding the process of cultivating the land plots would be carried out in accordance with terms of the state programme.
Overall, 850 hectares of land have been cultivated under the programme so far.
Tornike Rizhvadze, the Head of Adjara Local Government, and Georgia’s Agriculture Minister Giorgi Surmanidze were introduced to agricultural works in the Black Sea coastline Kobuleti Municipality on Wednesday.
