Injured Georgian military personnel to participate in Invictus Games

Georgian military servicemembers injured during combat or peacekeeping operations will compete with counterparts from 20 other nations within the Invictus Games international competition between April 16-22 in the Hague, the Netherlands.

The team of the Georgian Ministry of Defence, involving 20 participants, will compete in a variety of sports including sitting volleyball, archery, swimming, weightlifting, para-basketball and rowing.

The servicemembers have been preparing for the games at the Maro Makashvili Rehabilitation Centre in Tserovani, north of capital Tbilisi.
