Remittances to Georgia from abroad totalled $193.1 million in March 2022, posting a 2.6 percent increase year-on-year, the National Bank of Georgia revealed on Friday.
The largest remittance senders were from Italy with $36.05 million, Russia with $27 million and the United States with $25.64 million, the NBG also announced.

Overall, a vast majority - 93.8 percent - of all money transfers came from 20 countries, with the volume of transfers from these states each exceeding $1 million in March.
The data also showed the share of these 20 countries constituted 90.7 percent of the total volume of money transfers in the reported period.
During the month, $24 million was transferred from Georgia abroad, marking a 3.6 percent decrease compared to $24.9 million in March 2021.
