MEP Marina Kaljurand has stated that she trusts the conclusion of the OSCE/ODIHR that Georgia’s 2020 parliamentary elections were free and competitive.
She has urged Georgian political parties to act in line with state interests and make concessions to come to an agreement.
Georgian opposition parties are demanding repeat parliamentary elections and the release of the opposition leader Nika Melia and the co-founder of the opposition-minded TV channel Mtavari Arkhi Giorgi Rurua.
