Coronavirus in Georgia: 2,795 tests conducted, 417 new cases reported

Georgia has reported a total of 417 new cases of COVID-19 after conducting 927 PCR and 1,868 rapid tests over the last 24 hours.

Out of the 417 new cases 128 were reported in the Georgin capital of Tbilisi. 

Other cases of COVID-19 were reported in:

  • Imereti - 71
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 45
  • Adjara - 37
  • Kvemo Kartli - 33
  • Shida Kartli - 32
  • Kakheti - 29
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 24
  • Guria - 9
  • Samtskhe-Javalheti - 8
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 1

Meanwhile, 2,469 individuals have recovered from COVID-19, while other 31 have unfortunately died. 

The number of total confirmed cases in Georgia has thus increased to 229,169, including 220,442 recoveries and 2,603 deaths; 6,098 individuals remain infected with the virus.
