Georgia reports 360 new cases of coronavirus of 25,349 tests

Georgia has reported 360 new cases of coronavirus, 119 recoveries and nine deaths in the past 24 hours.
25,349 tests have been conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 14,742 of the 25,349 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10,607 were PCR tests.
The country has had 271,739 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
265,805 of the 271, 739 have recovered, while 3,541 have died of the virus.
As of today 2,367 individuals remain infected with Covid-19.

The new 360 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 194 cases
- Adjara - 14 cases
- Imereti - 50 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 9 cases
- Shida Kartli - 35 cases
- Guria - 11 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 25 cases
- Kakheti - 8 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 8 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 2 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 4 cases

1,477 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 247 of the 1,477 patients are in critical condition. 95 of the 247 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
6,253 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 2,778,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
Georgian Health Officials say that the country will be able to receive only 200,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus as of today as Georgia lacks refrigeration facilities to keep the vaccines in mandatory -80 degree conditions.
The Pfizer vaccine may be the first vaccine Georgia uses to combat the coronavirus in the near future, said Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze earlier today.
“Be assured that Georgia will receive its first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine via the Covax platform this month”, Head of the National Centre for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze said at a briefing earlier today.
Georgia has reported 461 new cases of coronavirus, 163 recoveries and 12 deaths in the past 24 hours.
