Employees of the British investigative journalist website Bellingcat were interrogated in the case who claimed that Krasikov’s wife was also connected with the case.
They claimed that Krasikov’s wife and child were sent from Moscow to Crimea by Russian FSB shortly after the murder took place with fake passports.
The 40-year-old man was shot dead in August 2019 in Berlin's Kleiner Tiergarten park.
Tomorrow, the Berlin district court will announce its verdict in the Kleiner Tiergarten murder case. The prosecution wants a conviction for Vadim Krasikov for life as a state-ordered assassination. The defense pleads that it was manslaughter, and there's no state involvement.

A veteran of the Second Chechen War (1999-2009), Khangoshvili was a field commander during the war, this is why he was wanted and continuously persecuted by Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Khangoshvili was a terrorist.
In December 2019 Germany expelled two Russian diplomats due to the case, with Russia responding by expelling two German diplomats.
Russian top officials have dismissed the country’s connection with the murder.
