Georgian law enforcers have detained an individual, identified only as L.K. (born in 1990), for gender-based violence in Tbilisi, reports the press office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Police found that the detainee verbally and physically assaulted a transgender woman on the basis of her gender near the circus in Tbilisi.
Police detained L.K. soon after the incident.
The crime is punishable by up to one year in prison.
