Coronavirus: Georgia reports 5,076 new cases, 1,126 recoveries, 44 deaths

Georgia has reported 5,076 new cases of coronavirus, 1,126 recoveries and 44 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

62,994 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 41,001 of the 62,994 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 21,993 were PCR tests. 

37,038 remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.

The country has had 656,465 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

8.04% of tested individuals had COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

609,987 of the 656,465 patients have recovered, while 9,440 have died from the virus.

The 5,076 new cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 1,599 cases 
  • Adjara - 159 cases 
  • Imereti - 1,028 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 309 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 387 cases 
  • Guria - 144 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 435 cases 
  • Kakheti - 720 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 137 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 85 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 73 cases

5,176 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,180 patients are in the intensive care unit. 252 patients are on artificial ventilation. 

30,940 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

59 individuals are in quarantine. 

9,714,532 tests have been conducted in the country so far.

1,906,882 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which 897,299 have been completely vaccinated.
