The body of 26-year-old Georgian citizen Dito Khelkhelauri, who went missing in the Polish capital on June 11, has been found in a lake near Warsaw.
His mother, Ia Ochiauri, says Dito’s body was so damaged that it was only possible to identify him following the forensic examination.
An investigation is underway into a possible suicide, as the police found Khelkhelauri's backpack near the lake on June 18 and witnesses say he jumped into the water.
Doubting that her son would have committed suicide, Ochiauri said that her son was with his friends that time at a bar and returned home at about 2-3 a.m.
Khelkhelauri, who left Georgia for Poland to find work four years ago, worked at a private company involved in construction.
