Three programmes of Tbilisi State University, the oldest university of the South Caucasus region and alma mater for thousands of students graduating each year, have received accreditation of the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), a German-based body.
Bachelor's and master's degree courses of the International School of Economics (ISET) at the university, as well as the Public Administration MA programme of the Faculty of Law, now bear the official FIBAA seal on their teaching.
The university said its programmes for economics were the only internationally accredited courses in the country, adding the Public Administration course had received the German organisation's accreditation for the second time, following the first decision that granted it the status in 2015.
The latter programme, taught at the Tbilisi university since 2009, is a collaborative project with the German University of Administrative Sciences.
