Dozens of countries around the world have illuminated their iconic buildings in red and white – the colours of Georgia’s national flag to mark the 30th anniversary of Georgia’s independence from the Soviet Union.
To celebrate the Independence Day of Georgia, the Olympic stadium in Wroclaw was lit in red and white. The Georgian national anthem was also performed during the event.
Poland was the first among the European countries to congratulate Georgia on it’s 30th Independence Day.
The main symbol of Brussels, the Manneken Pis, was dressed in Georgian chokha - the Georgian national clothes for men:

A popular Georgian song based on Akaki Tsereteli's poem Suliko was performed in Saarbrücken City Hall in Frankfurt am Main.
Georgian Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation Revaz Lominadze’s welcome speech has been accompanied by breath-taking views and a concert performed by the joint Georgian-Swiss chamber orchestra organised in the framework of the project “Cultural Bridge between Georgia and Switzerland”.

Three historic bridges of Lithuania, a fountain in the central square of the city and the Town Hall of Kaunas were lit in red and white.
On May 25, the Embassy of Georgia in Spain hosted a performance of the Georgian Dance Academy on the main square of Madrid (The Plaza Mayor).

The national flags of Georgia will be raised in the centre of Dublin until May 28. It is already the sixth year that Georgia’s national flags are raised in Dublin to mark Georgia’s Independence Day.

The building of Thessaloniki City Hall in Greece was lit in red and white, while the Georgian flag was raised in front of the City Hall of Bari in Italy.
Buildings were lit in the colours of the Georgian flag - red and white - in Doha, Abu-Dhabi and Tashkent on Georgia's Independent Day as well.
