Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani has responded to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in his post on Twitter, saying Georgia 'strongly condemns' violence and rocket attacks against civilians.
He said that there is no alternative to the de-escalation of tensions in the region.

Tensions between Israelis and Palestinians have escalated as Palestinian militants in Gaza fired hundreds of rockets into Israel, which responded with ramped up airstrikes on the coastal enclave, as unrest spread to cities and towns beyond Jerusalem.
Israeli bombing raids across Gaza have killed at least 35 people, including 12 children, according to Palestinian health officials, who also said 220 people have been injured, as of Tuesday evening. The Israeli military said it had killed more than 15 militants.
Georgian officials have expressed solidarity with Austria in the aftermath of a deadly terrorist attack in the capital Vienna last night that killed at least four people and injured 17.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who is holding meetings in Israel, has stated that relations between Georgia and Israel ‘are not only deep and close, they are historical’ as 26 centuries ‘have shaped the bonds between the Jewish and Georgian people.’ Zurabishvili has met with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, with whom an agreement was reached that the process of signing the agreement on legal employment of Georgians in Israel will be accelerated.
Georgia has condemned the attacks on the Abqaiq oil processing facility in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, which sparked tension in the middle east, leading to the interruption of up to 5.7 million barrels in global oil supplies.
2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Israel.
