One more person has tested positive for COVID-19 in Georgia increasing the total number of infected individuals in the country to thirteen.
Head of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze said all of them feel well and are under constant medical observation.
Eleven of the infected individuals traveled to Italy together; the two others were infected in Iran.
Georgian Foreign Ministry has also announced that embassies are working 24/7 in Italy, Iran and other countries to evacuate Georgian citizens.
Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandre Khvtisiashvili said 30 Georgian citizens have already been evacuated from Iran via Azerbaijan, while five preferred to stay.
Georgia has suspended flights with China, Iran, and Italy to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
