Georgian seafarers get recognition from Australia

Georgian seafarers can now be employed in Australian maritime industry as a relevant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the two countries.

Starting today Australia recognises sailors’ certificate issued by Georgia enabling the Georgian sailors to improve their background and get even more new job opportunities.

Georgian Maritime Transport Agency (MTA) announced that recognition by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) would be a very important signal for other countries.  

The Agency reported on Wednesday that the next country that will recognise Georgian certificates would be the United Kingdom.
