Photographers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey are invited to a "unique" field trip and workshop to Georgia to create stories using their lens under guidance from two teachers this coming spring.
In what will be the first edition of Georgian Diaries, a new teaching program by VII Photo Agency's Stefano De Luigi and Maciek Nabrdalik, participants will be in the country for an eight-day workshop.
It will serve as the first teaching programme in Georgia within the VII Academy's masterclass series across Europe, dubbed an "exhaustive training programme" for photographers to create, discuss and produce their work.
"Usually, we tend to teach workshops in places we know well. One of the most exciting parts of this one is that we have never been to Georgia, and we’ve decided to discover it with participants in this new teaching program," a preview for the programme said.

The teachers will organise up to 12 participants into groups for a "very intimate" structure involving visits to five locations in the country.
Organisers said the programme would "let us closely discuss, understand, and decide on the angle of our stories" while using daytime to work and evenings to edit images.
It will be led by De Luigi, a Louvre museum photographer based in Paris and author of a number of works, and Nabrdalik, a documentary photographer based in Warsaw and focusing on sociological changes in eastern Europe.
The two teachers are recipients of high-profile photography prizes for their work, including the World Press Photo Award, with their work found in publications including New Yorker and Stern.
The VII Academy works to promote emerging photography professionals and students by providing scholarships, workshops and seminars in varied locations throughout the year. Beside Georgia, their 2020 spring workshops will also be held in India and Armenia.
The application for Georgian Diaries will be open for interested participants until March 12, with the workshop scheduled to run between April 16-23.
