Young Georgian pianist Lizi Kakabadze wins top prize at Music and Stars competition

At the age of 17, Lizi Kakabadze won the first prize at the international Piano Competition held in Valletta, Malta. The young Georgian pianist’s unique style of playing was praised by the jury and nominated for the Best Performance of the ‘Liszt - Paraphrase on Verdi's Rigoletto’, which has granted her an opportunity to record CD with KNS Classical, the international classical music agency. Lizi Kakabadze, a student of the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire, has  received a Gold Star at the Music and Stars Awards.

 Music and Stars Awards is an online competition of classical music, which focuses on discovering new artists and developing their careers.

The young Georgian pianist has received the top prize for performing R. Schumann’s ‘Symphonic Etudes op. 13’.

At the age of 17, Kakabadze won the first prize at the international Piano Competition held in Valletta, Malta. Kakabadze is a second year student at the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire.
