Swiss chocolate producer Camille Bloch has entered Georgia with the support of the country's investment attraction agency, Enterprise Georgia.
Camille Bloch will set up hazelnut plantations in Georgia that will be used for the company's famous chocolates.
The total cost of the project exceeds over $10 million and includes the development of hazelnut plantations on 650 hectares and the construction of a processing plant.
The first stage of the project will start in January 2021.
Despite the ongoing global challenges, we have managed to bring one of the largest international companies to Georgia. We are pleased that, the Swiss company expressed such confidence and after several years of cooperation, has decided to invest in Georgia", said the CEO of Enterprise Georgia, Mikheil Khidureli.
Camille Bloch has been in the chocolate business for 91 years.
