Police identifies man who damaged opposition party office in Batumi

The Georgian Interior Ministry has identified the individual who damaged the office of the United National Movement opposition party in Batumi on November 15, Deputy Interior Minister Kakha Sabanadze stated earlier today.
Sabanadze said that the individual has already confessed to the crime.
The glass facade of the UNM office in Batumi was smashed in with stones.
Five individuals have been detained for disobedience to the police and hooliganism following a clash at a polling station in Gldani district of Tbilisi earlier today, Patrol Police Head Vazha Siradze has stated.
Georgian law enforcers have launched investigations into six election-related violations which have taken place earlier today in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and in the southern Marneuli municipality. The MIA reports that opposition political party United National Movement supporter Zviad Kuprava was physically assaulted by several individuals at the #40 polling station in the Didi Digomi District of Tbilisi.
Opposition United National Movement member Dimitri Shashkin has been observed walking with a gun near the polling station in the Talaveri village of Bolnisi municipality earlier today. Shashkin, who admitted carrying the gun, said he is authorised by the interior ministry to do so. However, Shaskin said, he did not enter any polling stations.
A concluding campaign rally organized by the United Opposition - Power in Unity is being held on Freedom Square in downtown Tbilisi. Two days before the parliamentary elections in Georgia, members and supporters of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party marched from Republic Square to Freedom Square in the center of the capital city of Tbilisi, with Georgian flags and banners that read 'let's say goodbye to Bidzina'.
