Tbilisi City Hall launches training, employment promotion programme for citizens affected by pandemic

Georgian citizens who have lost their jobs because of the coronavirus pandemic have been invited to participate in a new training and employment promotion programme launched today by Tbilisi City Hall.

Online registration will be available on the website www.dasakmdi.ge between October 26 and November 10, announced deputy mayor of Tbilisi Andria Basilaia who presented the programme earlier today.

State vocational colleges will offer training courses in more than 30 fields, including construction, engineering, design, IT, transport and food.

Training will start on November 15 and the duration of short-term training programmes will be two months.

The programme is open to individuals of at least 18 years of age who reside in Tbilisi and present a certificate attesting to the fact they were dismissed during the pandemic or a certificate of financial assistance issued by the state during the same period.

In addition, the website www.dasakmdi.ge will perform communication and coordination functions between the private sector, the municipality, vocational schools and citizens seeking employment.
