Georgian Designer Zviad Tsikolia’s watch shop was robbed on Shardeni street in Tbilisi earlier today.
Tsikolia published a video taken by the surveillance cameras on his Facebook page, which shows how two young boys break down the store door, but were unable to steal expensive watches
TV Pirveli reported that two underage boys also tried to break down doors of wine and clothing stores on the same street, but failed because the shop security alarm went off and they had to run away.
A manager of the watch shop told TV Pirveli that criminal police requested the video footage recorded by indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras.
A Bank of Georgia branch in the west Georgian city of Zugdidi has been taken hostage by robbers.
An armored cash collection vehicle has been attacked and robbed in Georgia’s Black sea town of Kobuleti today. 1TV.ge reports that the robber stole 50,000 GEL in cash.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia says that the primary goal was to end yesterday’s attack on the Bank of Georgia Zugdidi branch without victims and that this goal was reached. "Now our main goal is to detain the offender and our law enforcement agencies must use and are using all legal measures to do this,” Gakharia said, adding that the offender’s detention is important to prevent such crimes in the future.
A man was shot in his car in Gldani district of Tbilisi earlier today. Police say it was a premeditated murder and the offender, allegedly, was in illegal possession of firearms.
