Police present at produce markets to enforce observation of coronavirus regulations

Georgian police have been introduced to produce markets in the country to ensure individuals abide by coronavirus guidelines and regulations to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Law enforcers are monitoring the entrances of markets to ensure citizens are wearing face masks.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens to maintain social distancing, wear face masks and fulfill all the recommendations by the Health Ministry to prevent the spread of the virus.

Georgia has reported 1,186 new cases of coronavirus and seven deaths in the past 24 hours. 

Tbilisi is on the top of the list of the most hard-hit areas with 469 cases, followed by the country’s coastal Adjara region with 360 cases. 

Georgian hospitals are able to admit an additional 972 patients as of today.
