Georgian electricity imports up 7.5%, exports down 58.7%

In 2019, Georgian electricity imports increased by 7.5 per cent and exports decreased by 58.7 per cent.

Georgia imported 1,623 million kilowatt hours of electricity in 2019, while it imported 1,508.82 million kilowatt hours of electricity last year.

Georgia exported 243.4 million kilowatt hours of electricity in 2019, while it exported 588.58 million kilowatt hours last year.

In 2020, Georgia is expected to decrease imports to 1,253.9 million kilowatt hours, while increasing exports to 577.8 million kilowatt hours.
